1. What StatLap is

StatLap provides phone-based timing tools for track & field (start gun detection, finish-line camera timing, sprint training, speed gates, field-event scoring) and this meet-results website. By using either, you agree to these terms.

2. Timing accuracy — the honest part

StatLap times are app-timed. They are consistent and repeatable, but they are not record-certified "Fully Automatic Timing" and must not be submitted as FAT marks for records or qualification standards that require certified systems. Timing depends on your phones, network, light, and setup; you are responsible for verifying any result that matters before relying on it.

3. Results are public

Meets, results, athlete names, and marks entered into StatLap may be publicly visible on this site. If you run a meet, you are responsible for having the right to post your entrants' names and results. Ask us to correct or remove a result or name and we will.

4. Camera & microphone

The timing apps use your phone's camera and microphone on the device, in real time — to spot a crossing or hear the gun. Video and audio are not recorded or uploaded; only times, marks, and the meet details you enter are sent to the server. Photo-finish frames you review stay on your phone unless you export them.

5. Data we keep

We store what the service needs to work: results and meet data, and (for accounts) your email and name. Settings live in your browser's local storage. We don't run ads, and we don't sell your data. Payments, when offered, are processed by Stripe — card details never touch our servers.

6. Paid plans

The results website is free. Timing features may require a paid StatLap Pro plan. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; cancelling stops the next renewal and Pro stays active to the end of the paid period.

7. Fair use

Don't abuse the service: no unauthorized access, no interfering with meets you aren't part of, no posting content you don't have the right to post. Meet PINs exist to protect live meets — respect them.

8. No warranty & limits

StatLap is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent the law allows, StatLap's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions (selections, records, awards) made from app-timed results.

9. Changes & contact

We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this address, and continuing to use StatLap after a change means you accept it. Questions, or a removal request: support@statlap.com.
