They are different kinds of thing. Freelap times one athlete between transmitters you place on the track, and is built for splits in training. StatLap times a heat, every lane, from a phone at the finish line started by a phone that heard the gun, and publishes the results. Plenty of clubs would own both.

Which one

Freelap: You time one sprinter at a time and want splits at points along the run. That is what transmitters are for.
StatLap: You line up a heat and want every lane's time, started by the gun, on a page a parent can open. Or you want a forty or a flying ten with nothing on the athlete.
Both: You do both. The hardware for splits, the phones for the heat. They do not compete for the same afternoon.

What this page will not do

It will not tell you Freelap's prices or specifications, because those belong to Freelap and change.
